The Sierra Foothills ARC (SFARC) is a non-profit 501(c) organization serving Auburn, CA, and the western Placer County communities. SFARC recognized by the Amateur Radio Relay League (ARRL) as a Special Service for our commitment to the local community and our commitment to emergency preparedness.
2022 will be the 6th annual Loomis Hamfest hosted by SFARC. It is an ARRL sanctioned Hamfest. Attendance over the years has varied between 400 to 700 attendees. The event draws hams from the Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys, San Francisco bay area, the central coast and as far east as the Reno Sparks Nevada area. Folks travel from as far north as Redding and as far south as Modesto.
SFARC Loomis Hamfest enjoys the enviable distinction as the first northern California hamfest and swap of the year.
